Let’s start with the calculation of the cost of a bad hire. Hiring a new employee is typically a long, often expensive journey – and if you get it wrong, it can be a costly mistake. The interview is a common tool for employee selection.

In this simulated, practical and experiential course, learners will not have a dull moment. We will address the importance of preparing a list of required competencies, the scenarios that can reveal whether the candidate has these competencies, as well as how to rate them. Learners will practise the pre-interview preparation, develop questions and their value, the interview techniques that get specific, behaviour-based examples of past performance, and the strategies that follow through from this process.
